Smartphone screen protection tips

With smartphone screens and sizes getting more prominent, the likelihood of you dropping it and damaging it increases. And with maximum displays with minimum bezels trending, your iPhone may have less protection than ever. You might have even dropped your phone and considered an iPhone screen repair. After all, the big screens are more prone to repairs and damages, and in the iPhone, the chances are high because the iPhone’s screen is delicate.

To avoid such a situation and spending a lot of money on screen repair, follow these steps to make sure your Apple device is safe and sturdy.

Bumper case

The most common technique to protect your iPhone screen from cracking is to use a bumper case. If you research, you will find several companies making strong and robust bumper cases for all the iPhone models that are not only protective but also beautiful. Those cases are no longer basic black ones that feel and look bulky. Due to technological advancements, these cases are now sleek yet very useful and come in a variety of colours and patterns.

These cases are designed in such a manner that they absorb the shock when your phone drops, causing no to minimize damage to your iPhone. You can find these cases in repair shops, mobile accessories shops, and even retail stores. Lastly, these cases are not at all expensive considering their use.

Pop sockets

One of the significant reasons why a person drops a phone is because it slips from their hand. iPhone has a smooth glass finish, which makes it even more challenging to maintain a firm hold of the phone. However, with a pop socket, you can exercise better control while holding your phone, and reduce the chance of dropping it to zero. Pop sockets come in a plethora of patterns and colours, and look stylish and fashionable.

This accessory is handy if you want to use your phone with one hand only. Because you will have a better grip on your iPhone, you are less likely to drop it and might not need iPhone screen replacement.

Tempered glass screen protectors

You can prevent screen damage if you use a tempered glass screen protector. You can find it anywhere, offline or online. Moreover, these screens are not at all bulky or affect your experience with your iPhone. Before investing in tempered glass, make sure it is a glass one and not a plastic one, and of excellent quality. Then, ensure that it covers the entire screen of your phone.

You will find glass screen protectors that have an oleophobic coating that reduces fingerprints. Tempered glass screen protectors are usually 0.3-0.5 mm thick.

Skin

If you do not want to put your iPhone in a case or cover but still want some protection, skins help a lot. The function of the skin is to stick to the back of your phone, offering a firm grip. So, the glassy back of your iPhone with skin will provide a better grasp. Skins are very useful if you want to add grip to your iPhone without putting a case, which can be bulky. The skins come in every colour and pattern and make your iPhone look stylish.

If you do not want a printed skin or a very noticeable skin, you can choose from plain skins that blend with the colour of your phone. You can even get a skin customized according to your preference and liking.

Car phone holder

Ideally, it would help if you did not use your phone while driving, but sometimes, you may have to. You might want to use the navigation on your iPhone, change the music, or attend a call while driving. This is a common situation where people drop their iPhones and crack the screens. Or probably you have a toddler who likes to throw your phone while you are focusing on something else like driving.

To prevent your iPhone from being dropped in your car, invest in a car phone holder. These holders are extremely easy to find and do not cost a lot. Every time you sit in your car, just fit your phone in the holder, and easily use your iPhone safely while driving.
