Best Destinations To Visit In November
13 November 2019 | 0 comments | Posted by Desa Rome in Hit the Road
Autumn is finally here. It is a bit chilly now, so basking by the pool is no longer ideal. Before long, winter will come knocking and lock up everyone indoors. It is, therefore, essential to make the most of this transition period. It is time to explore the world and get immersed in the beauty of the colourful foliage that comes with autumn. So, are you ready to tour faraway destinations this November, whether solo or as a group? Here are six cheap, fun-filled destinations for you to try:
1. Kenya
Forget about the green season (March to July) in the Maasai Mara. The game park's faded golden plains in November and November is the real deal. The long grass in the plain land is mostly burnt yellow and orange this time of the year, allowing the big cats to camouflage and hunt with ease.
Lions, cheetahs, and leopards are the dominant cats in this region. Their territorial fights will leave you mesmerized!
2. Peru
Visiting Peru in November may be one of the best seasons to do so because there will be less crowded trails. Also, as per weather, there will be spring in November in Peru. Also, as it is not considered to be the 'season', the prices are relatively lower. However, we insist that you book your accommodation in advance. There are tons of activities that you can do in Peru, starting from trekking the highlights, surfing, hiking, biking, cruizing in the Amazon river. However, we recommend that you take a tour of Peru, to experience all of these attractions during your stay.
3. Florida
Are you a festivity person? Well then; you are just in time for the prestigious Epcot International Food & Wine Festival in the Sunshine State. You will also have the chance to take part in Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a special ticketed spooky event that goes down in the Magic Kingdom.
Also, summer humidity is significantly reduced in November, with temperatures ranging between 65 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit. That translates to 18-29 °C. There isn't much rain in November, so you will bask on the beach for as long as you wish. Remember to book a beautiful Florida vacation rental for accommodation. They are affordable and offer you maximum privacy.
4. Greece
The weather in Santorini, Kefalonia, and Corfu is warm and welcoming from now through November. This weather is the best for hiking off the islands' beaten trails. Bird watching is also an exciting activity to try when visiting Santorini.
Note that the high season here runs from mid-June to mid-September. You are, therefore, guaranteed fewer crowds in November, which translates to cheaper travel, accommodation, and food costs. Don't be surprised when you pay 20-30% less on almost everything. Remember to interact with the locals and learn the rich Greek culture from the rightful, first-hand source.
5. London
Visiting London in November allows you to see the city's spooky side that comes with Halloween celebrations. Also, there isn't a better season to sample London's local food and drinks than November. The UK capital hosts many exciting festivals such as the London Oktoberfest, London Restaurant Festival, and London Cocktail Week. The National History Museum Ice Rink also opens around this time of the year.
When in London this November, be sure to take a London free walking tour and see the city's defining attractions from closer proximity.
6. New Zealand
Summer isn't over in New Zealand. November is a great time to enjoy late summer in Auckland- the City of Sails- without having to pay the hefty charges that tourists pay during the actual summer. You will have fun sailing in the Pacific Ocean using the city's iconic sailboats and marinas.
The islands are also home to 50 or more dormant volcanic mountains that will push your resilience to the limit, regardless of your hiking expertise. One of these mountains is the Mangere Mountain, home to the most vibrant and most ancient Maori cultures. You will love listening to the wonderful Maori ancient stories if you are a lover of history.
7. Chile
Latin America is arguably the most beautiful, most adventurous place in the world, and Chile is right at the centre of this undeniable beauty. The landscapes in this small nation are magical! And because the epitome of the country's elegance is witnessed in November, you will have the chance to live in the full glory of the breathtaking scenery that it has to offer.
Why so? Well, because the country's brightly-coloured flowers start to blossom from early November, the skies are clear before the drizzly winter season arrives, and the weather is generally warm for the better part of the day. The ambience here is merely unimaginable. Also, the summer holiday masses are beginning to reduce now, so you will not have to spend much on your vacation.
While in Chile, remember to visit the Atacama Desert. November is a perfect time to stargaze in the desert as the sky is clear, the temperatures aren't as severe as during the summer, and there aren't enormous crowds.
In conclusion
If you wanted to travel this November, but you couldn't find the perfect destination, you are welcome to choose one of our six suggestions above. You will not regret it.
