Beards, to most people, is a representation of masculinity. Lots of men derive a sense of pride in having thick full-grown beards. Unfortunately, beard growth varies from one man to another. The rate of beard growth depends on factors such as lifestyle habits genetics, testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels. It is also worth pointing out that the rate of facial hair growth is different from that of hair in your scalp. Most men want to know how they can enhance beard growth.
The good news is that there are ways to grow your beards faster.
1. Eating foods that enhance beards growth
If you want your beards to grow faster, you should start eating food rich in proteins, fruits, greens, nuts, and seeds. Some great sources of protein include egg, beans, fish, and yoghurt. Oranges, grapes avocado, pineapples, and blueberries are some of the fruits which are essential for beard growth. You can also accelerate your beard growth by eating nuts and seeds such as flaxseed, walnuts, cashew nuts, almonds, and walnuts.
Also, aim to consume lots of minerals and vitamins such as Vitamin E, C, and B6. Raisins, Alfalfa sprouts, coffee, olive oil, and sorghum have shown the ability to enhance beard growth. Lastly, remember to drink enough amount of water. Lack of water in the body slows own growth of beards.
2. Exfoliating your beard And skin
Exfoliating your beards and skins helps to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores trapped under the beard. A good beard brush daily will do a great job. Alternatively, you can use a beard exfoliator scrap twice every month. Exfoliating your beard couple with face massage can significantly help in promoting blow flow.
Blood flow supplies the beard hair with nutrients and hormones required to grow faster and stronger. You can enhance low flow through facial massage and beard exfoliation. The point is that your beard requires clear pathways and proper blood flow for faster growth.
3. Beard care routine
You should only beard wash that is dedicated to cleaning the beard a few times a week. Avoid using harsh shampoos. Moisturizing your beard will not only enhance growth but also give them a fuller appearance. Remember that brittle and dry beards are more prone to break. It is advisable to use tree oil beard shampoo and then finish off with a good beard conditioner.
4. Use supplements that promote beard growth
The market is awash with supplements that help in beard growth. Also, to a healthy diet, a B vitamin such as biotin produces keratin. While some beard growth vitamins are quite expensive, you can get affordable multivitamins. Other high supplements are Carnitine amino acid and herbs such as Mucuna Pruriens.
5. Avoid stress, heat and picking the beards
Another to promote faster growth of beards is by preventing things that inhibit beard growth. One of the things that slow down beard growth is stress. Ideally, chronic stress elevates cortisol levels, which inhibit beard growing hormones. Another thing that suppresses beard growth is always picking your beards. While occasionally combing your hair is fine, doing it often slows beard growth, causes beard damage, and even hair loss.
Also, the daily cleaning of your beard is not recommended. It leads to splits ends and itchy beards. It also strips sebum and hence fat-soluble hormones. Lastly, Beard straighteners and blow-dry cause heat damage if not done correctly.
